My dear sweet momma has developed a brain tumor--specifically a glioblastoma multiforme. This is an update of all of the details of her treatments and her recovery. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and concern. My new favorite quote: "Humans are like tea bags, you have to put them in hot water before you know how strong they are."

Tuesday 12/20 Update

Daddy just called and they are on their way home. Staples are removed and she can do whatever she wants now--if it were me, I would probably have to stop at a hotel just to take a shower!!! We have an appointment with an oncologist in Memphis on Thursday at the Midsouth Cancer Center. Dr. Burson (the neurosurgeon) says that he's the best. I am very excited to meet with someone to get this process of fixing momma going! I looked at their website and in his bio it says that he's a huge Grizzlies fan so I have to run now to get a small Grizzlies gift to take with us. I am totally okay with bribery...

    Hi Tara,
    I like the bribery idea...whatever works! I am happy to hear that ya'll got out Saturday. I am sure that sunlight and fresh air felt good to your Mom!! Just wanted you to know that I am anxiously awaiting your postings and check the website 3 or 4 times a day! You have really started something here I'm afraid. I hope that you are doing well and know that I am here if you need me!!
