Feisty!!!
I talked to daddy this morning and momma is doing very good. Contrary to her belief, you do in fact need more than the nutrients found in Diet Coke. She is no longer dehydrated and is feeling much better. They met with the radiation oncologist yesterday who is hopefully going to begin treatments on Tuesday. As she was explaining some of the side effects and risks, momma got a emotional and little upset but the doctor (I think her name was Charlotte Ross) was able to calm her down. Of course, I don't want momma upset, but that is definitely a sign that she is doing better, as last week she would not have comprehended what she was being told in order to even be upset! Going back to Little Rock was definitely a great thing and I am so glad Daddy did it. He said that she is starting to cut up and be silly--wonderful news to hear!!

Tara, tell your mom I said "Atta girl, Teri!!!" And by the way, it's OK to "splurge" and have regular Coke now and then ( :
Also, tell your dad I always knew he is a very smart and wise man. Taking Teri back to LR when he did just proves it even more!

Great News! Glad your mom and dad feel confidence in the doctor at Little Rock. I'm also glad they can stay there while she undergoes treatments. That will be so much easier. Tell Teri I'm glad to hear she is starting to be her "feisty" self again. She is quite a character! :-) Our prayers are with her and Richard and your family. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Oh Tara, that is encouraging news and to know she has a doctor who will take time with her and help her emotionally as well as physcially,,,what a blessing! Praise the Lord and thank him for having Richard take her back to Little Rock. I know every decision he makes is a tough one, but tell him to never second quess himself and look back and say if I had done this or if I had done that. That is what Allyson's oncologist told Jaime and me before treatment began and we listened to it, because there were times we were so unsure.
I have to agree with Pat, I don't know how she stood "diet" taste either,,,shudder,,,but then look at her body weight and mine!! Grin,,,wish I could give her some of the extra padding! When I got out of surgery this year that was the first thing I wanted was a coke or maybe it was to see my children's faces so I could tell them to get me a forbidden coke and sneak it in!! haha Love and hugs until later, Cathy
